IoT 8: Making My Search Engine
DuckDuckGo was the search engine for the in-site search of this web site as I mentioned a past post, IoT 5 (Is Keyword World Ruined?). However, results for this website seem to be minimized. Note that this minimization is because of Bing that DuckDuckGo brings its results. Bing would simply select contents with the amount of accessing pages. Therefore, I'm just making my search engine. Test my search engine (word search).
For security reasons, I haven't opened the code of my website. However, I note several ideas to make my search engine.
3. Results should are sorted and arranged. In my search engine, results in a post are combined, and highlighted words to be searched.
The core of my search engine can be written by piping on shell script or Perl scripts. In the modern structure, PHP is on the front line to users. I'm not against this structure because of the security issue on file permission of CGI scripts including Perl, i.e., accessing users as guests have permissions to execute scripts. However, this issue has already been resolved on the side of servers, e.g., using suEXEC in Apache HTTP Server. PHP implicitly sends the "Content-type: text/html\n\n" header and makes no perception about its standard output. Can you explain why PHP may print messages for debugging on the page you access? I think that executing Perl on PHP for processing to edit and arrange text is a good idea because this structure is easy to write code, especially for regular expressions. I'll explain the structure. However, Halloween is coming, and structuring Halloween decorations under the clear sky of autumn has more priority than computer codes. I have experienced that Halloween had already passed without any decoration because of crazy days at my desk, and I felt the daemon of time in the winter on the year.

I added a search box as shown below (beneath this post). In fact, it's an external link to DuckDuckGo. Search engines had started their services with suggesting in-site search like this. However, search engines nowadays are not for in-site search, but these become just big media.
Since early 2010's search engines started to encrypt their websites by HTTPS, giving us secure accessing. However, webmasters met a trouble. Search engines started to hide search keywords attached to HTTP referer in website logs of webmasters. Webmasters had used HTTP referer to know what search keywords invited visitors. Search engines said this was because of secure user privacy. In spite of this statement, search engines as advertisement companies have given ads clients searched keywords in performance results. This story means the start of commercialism in search engines.
Today, we can count the number 10 from the thing. Searching keywords is still a strong tool in Internet marketing. Several companies give us rewards only by searching keywords. If you attach "#" to some keywords, it becomes the political trend we are hashed. We're living in the keyword world where many things are decided by popular keywords. If you're a director, your producer gives you several keywords which are popular in search engines, then the producer would say "make a story with these keywords". You may feel so spoiled because these keywords can destruct your creative imagination. Eventually, you may make a zombie-alien story. I think producers should respect your creative imagination. Does keywords make a masterpiece? I think No, and a masterpiece can make keywords. Masterpiece is a rare diamond in a coal mine. Producers should give directors free hands for creativeness, marketing tools can be used to know how the creativity amazed audiences. Since Kabukicho by keywords, the world started to be ruined. Now, keywords aren't tools to know trends, but tools to maintain major services in the Internet.
* I don't like to search Kabukicho, but let's search Akihabara Radio Depart. by DuckDuckGo with "map" word. It's a good appearance. I don't beg search engines to stop their commercialism, but these appearance in search results can be enhanced anyway. Although posts with several "big" keywords may be difficult to be indexed in search engines for their ads clients as well as old media used to do, their employees would trust "publicity" of their services. The paradoxical situation makes them unmotivated because they don't know the services are in fact just paid ranking pages.

OK, the first thing to get your presence is to request your website pages to be indexed in search engines. The easiest way is to join into webmaster tools of search engines and submit requests to crawl your websites by their robots. I'm joining with two engines.
So, DuckDuckGo doesn't have webmaster tools to submit your page. However, the result of the Dax is sourced from Bing, etc. Russian Yandex has webmaster tools, but I've not tested as of today. Note that Chinese Baidu seems to have webmaster tools, but all in simplified Chinese language. When you analyze the log of your website, you can see visiting of several unknown crawlers. These are SEO and Internet marketing tools in the commercial world, giving us "strong" power to promote some operational action in our business. These also give us one aspect of the knowledge to the cost-effectiveness of Internet marketing. So-called "old" media don't have such a pronounced tool, and the lack causes several difficulties in their business. I think DuckDuckGo is the best search engine on today in view of its search result. Plus, it could be customized its page through parameters.
The second thing is to make sitemap.xml and submit it to search engines.
As for the trend of the search engine optimization (SEO) today, the first one is the best because crawling seems to occur ASAP. However, the second one will not set quick crawling. Nowadays, submitting requests to crawl pages is automated by APIs, e.g., Google Search Console APIs. That means, robots of search engines are in very business. In my experience so far, their business suggests me to submit all of pages because crawling doesn't dive to the further levels of my pages. Even if I have submitted sitemaps, the crawling of robots seems not to get diversity.

On many news of Olympics, the phrase cached my eyes. I don't quote news online, but you can easy this phrase by search engines.

* So, we need to doubt data of Internet marketing in the world where dramas like B-films are widely strewed. Recent producers of dramas apparently research keyword rankings of search engines. "Zombie" and "Alien" make a super specie without its life matter. Keyword rankings are important because of needs of multi-side evaluations in Internet marketing, however you should not use these keywords with an one-side evaluation. Otherwise, producers and a small amount of "people (staffs and their friends)" only get excited about the keywords and their "thick" enthusiasm eventually affects its marketing data (like a positive feedback in an electric circuit). The bubbled keyword isolates the drama from external audiences, and they are finally aware of the thing when the drama doesn't give them any benefit at all. I call the "Meta syndrome" about the big issue on Internet marketing. In this time many special-purpose acquisition companies (SPAC) file IPO on the market. It's just companies without any business, but only with investment. It's the "Zombie" of South Sea Company in Britain, the 18th century! I'm concerned about the phenomenon in terms of "Meta syndrome".
